Q. Do I need an appointment?
A. Yes! To enjoy the full Ma Cherie Bleue personalized experience, the boutique is closed to each bride's appointment. The bride-to-be has our undivided attention, with no interruptions.
Q. What can I expect at my appointment?
A. The duration of your appointment is 90 minutes long. Our intention within this time is to initially discuss the details; location, theme and vision for the wedding, gown budget and colour and fabric preferences. Bring photos of gowns you like from magazines or websites. Our consultants will then select an average of 5 to 7 dresses that you can try with the opportunity to revisit your favourites in the end. Remember, our professional stylist here to help you find "the one".
Come with an open mind and don’t be surprised if you find your "dream dress" on your first visit to Ma Chérie Bleue.

Q. What & Whom should I bring to my appointment?
A. Nude undergarments, strapless bras and seamless panties will ensure the gowns fit properly! Shape-wear is also recommended for some of our more fitted gowns. Don't forget to bring a pair of shoes (keep in mind the height of the heel should be similar to what you will be wearing on your wedding day). We are the smallest boutique in Quebec, we can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 4 guests whose opinion you value most if your party is larger let us know and we will try to accommodate you!
Q. What is the price range of your gowns?
A. Our gowns vary from $1390 to $4000+ before tax. Let our experts know your budget, so we can ensure the selection is within your price range.
Q. When should I start dress shopping?
A. When it comes to finding "the one," timing is essential. These are the wedding dress deadlines you definitely don't want to miss. Our designer's lead time is 4 months, with the exception of a few that might take 6 months. We suggest to shop for your dress 7 to 9 months prior to your wedding date, this allows you to built in time for fittings and accessorizing. There are rush options for wedding gowns under 6 months, additional fees may apply for rush orders.
Q. What sizes are your samples?
A. For the comfort of all our brides, we carry only sample sizes 10 and 12. We adjust the garments directly on each individual bride, so you and your party can visualize the gown in the proper fit.
Q. What if I don’t know what size to order?
A. Once you found your perfect gown, we then take your standard measurements (bust, waist, hips, height). We use your measurements to cross-reference with the designer's size chart and order the closest size.
Q. How does alterations works once I have my gown?
A. We place your order based on the size that is closest to your measurements according to the designer's size chart. Alternations are almost always needed. We do not offer in house alterations, however, we can recommend a master tailor in the Montreal area! (Ma Cherie Bleue is not affiliated with the master tailors, they are referred from recommendations.)
Q. Do you require a deposit to order gowns and veils?
A. We require a non-refundable 60% deposit on made to order gowns and veils. We accept Visa, Master Card, Debit, or Cash. Only after verification and a thorough inspection, the gowns and or veils received at Ma Chérie Bleue are the brides contacted for pick up.
At which time the remaining balance of 40% is to be paid in full. For the purchase of sample gowns and other accessories, 100% payment is required and they are to be taken with you that day.
Q. What is your Return/Exchange Policy?
A. All sales are final, so please choose carefully. We recommend taking some time to look through magazines and websites of your favourite designers so you are prepared and have a general idea of what you prefer in a wedding dress prior to your appointment. Although we may also have some recommendations that you will love, this will also help you in the selection process to find your perfect gown.
